Connecting to a Shared Folder

You can connect to a shared folder from any computer as long as you know the shared folder name (starts with ed followed by a number) and have a username/password.

You can access a shared folder from home if you have broadband access and have a VPN (virtual private network) connection to UCF. To learn how to create a VPN connection please read the instructions posted on www.noc.ucf.edu/VPN/default.htm

1. Right Click on my Computer

2. Select map network Drive

3. Type in Folder name (the drive letter does not matter)

    \\vision.ed.ucf.edu\Shares\ed??? (???: Share number)

4. Click on different user name link

5. Type in your username and password click ok (This should be the username and password for the Vision server /Teaching Domain)
