Department of Child, Family and Community Sciences
The Sports and Fitness Bachelor of Science program is offered at the UCF Orlando and UCF South Lake (Clermont) Campuses. The program prepares graduates for positions with university athletic programs, community sports organizations, private and public fitness and recreation programs, and multipurpose facilities. Students select from five areas of specialization (i.e., Coaching; Fitness Training; Physical Activity and Movement for Children; Physical Human Performance; or Recreation). While in the program, students complete professional certification(s) within their specialization as part of their program requirements. Students are provided with a mix of course content and practical field experiences. Please note that students may be required to participate in courses and/or field experiences at both the UCF Orlando campus and the UCF South Lake (Clermont) Campus sites. The capstone activities of the program include two Practicums with high-quality program partners that provide invaluable hands-on knowledge and experiences in the student's chosen field.
