Undergraduate Studies

Department of Teaching and Learning Principles

The undergraduate program in Elementary Education prepares highly qualified teachers to work in diverse educational settings in grades kindergarten through six. Graduates from this program receive the state's English for Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement (ESOL) in addition to certification in Elementary Education.

Program Highlights

  • Elementary Education is the largest program in the college
  • Many program classes are offered in purpose-built classrooms in the UCF Academy for Teaching, Learning and Leadership
  • Some classes are also offered in innovative, alternative teaching environments, such as the Saturday Reading Camps and onsite at local public schools
  • Graduates from this program receive the state's English for Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement in addition to certification in Elementary Education
