SASS Becomes DARS (Degree Audit Report System)

Posted: 9/10/2009
Beginning Monday, September 28, 2009, the SASS degree audit system will no longer be used at the University of Central Florida. In its place will be the Degree Audit Report System, or DARS. The new, interactive audit will enable students to:
- Display the degree audit in color with pie charts and bar graphs (currently, undergraduate DARS audits only)
- Indicate progress toward completion of a degree program as well as formatting the audit in a detailed manner (currently, undergraduate DARS audits only)
- Run the DARS audit for their declared degree program and “what-if” audits for degree programs they are interested in (available for both undergraduate and graduate DARS audits).
The DARS system is web-based. The printing of DARS audits will be completed predominately by students at home, in the library, or at kiosks available on campus. In cases where students are not under a time constraint and wish to obtain their printed DARS audit, the Office of Student Affairs and the Office of Clinical Experiences will be accepting DARS audit requests which will be available the next business day for student pick-up with a photo I.D. The SASS system will be down from September 21st through September 28th. During this time, no changes will be made in the SASS system (course substitutions, etc.). The new DARS audit can be viewed at the following link: www.academicservices.ucf.edu
