Welcome
AfterHours is a brand new initiative that provides professional development, support, and social networking opportunities for new teachers and recent education graduates! Whether you are already teaching, subbing, or still looking for your first teaching job, AfterHours is designed to fit your continuing professional development needs.
AfterHours sessions are divided into three parts. The sessions begin with an hour of timely, pertinent information delivered by leaders in the field to help you grow as a professional educator. Participants then have the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and obtain support. During the third part of AfterHours, attendees are invited to leave campus and share in social networking opportunities at a nearby eatery.
All new teachers and recent education graduates are encouraged to participate in AfterHours. You do not need to be a graduate of UCF's College of Education, but if you are a "HAPPY Grad", you already know that "Having Active Participation Prepares You!” We look forward to seeing you soon!
