The College of Education offers academic year assistantships and fellowships as a means for financial assistance. See the chart below.

Type ASSISTANTSHIP FELLOWSHIP
To Qualify Full-time, degree-seeking graduate students

High performing graduate students, based on need and sometimes awarded on merit only
Terms Work 20 hrs. per week

Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA): Teach 9 credit hrs. per semester

Graduate Research Assistant (GRA): Work with faculty member on related research agenda or research conducted through external funding by a grant

Does not require work in return for money
Tuition Eligible for partial or full tuition waiver Eligible for full tuition waiver
